Welcome
Born in 2005 in Atlanta Georgia, Radio Rambler is a delightful mix of Delta, Piedmont and Chicago Blues with a roux of Shenandoah Mountain Folk music.

Joe (Pigiron) Shifalo, born in Mississippi, raised in Florida, was a student of the New York City Coffee House scene in the early 1960's.  He has been an Atlanta resident for the past 30 years, where he has delighted audiences with his masterful songwriting and guitar playing skills, as well as his incredible interpretations of some of the original Blues Masters.  Pigiron is also renowned as a storyteller and  plays guitar, banjo, harmonica, kazoo and washboard.

Alton Leonard hails from Virginia and is considered the musical professor of the Radio Ramblers.  Possessing a voice of an angel, Alton plays guitar, mandolin, accordian, harmonica, keyboards, and produces many of the complex Radio Rambler arrangments.

Michael Ellis was born and raised in the inner city of Chicago, where he became immersed in the Blues scene.  Michael has played in the Chicago Coffee House scene, moved into a stint with Rock groups and has come full circle with Ramblers where he has re-invented himself as a finger-picker.  Currently Hosting Good Morning Blues on WRFG 89.3 FM Friday Mornings 6-8am.

A new addition to the gang is Joab Kunin, bassist extraordinaire and one of the brightest lights in the Atlanta area blues community. Joab is the real item, and we're real glad (and lucky) to have him join us!

One Atlanta musician who recently witnessed a Radio Rambler performance was overheard to say, "Their music just makes you want to smile."
